Yvonne Grivas Ross, 81, Palm City, FL

It is with great sadness that we announce that Yvonne passed away gently and peacefully with her son and son-in-law at her side, in the early morning of December 12th, at her home in Palm City, FL.

Born in Brooklyn, New York to Jerry and Katherine Grivas, Yvonne lead a full life with deep love for her family.

Yvonne was a resident of Stuart, FL for nearly 40 years and was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church of Stuart, FL. She devoted time to volunteering and supporting local foundations, charities and organizations, including the Cleveland Clinic, Humane Society, Miracle League of Martin County, Oceanic Society, Boys and Girls Club and Sloan Kettering through her philanthropic ways.

Yvonne cherished her 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; Christopher (Liz) and Caroline Ross; Alexandra Dayan (nee Martorana); Calli Fleet (nee Martorana); Victoria, Joseph, Daria and James Martorana; Justin and Natalie Kerr; and, John Ross, Sarah, and Thomas Lanham.

Yvonne was predeceased by her son, Christopher Ross (Tricia) of Sayville, NY and her precious Shih-Tzu companions, Tai Dog and Misty.

She left behind her daughter, Denise Martorana (Joe) of Mt. Sinai, NY; and, her son Richard O’Boyle and son-in-law Bill Alverio of Palm City, FL.

Yvonne was a spectacular, loving and fiercely devoted Mom to her three children, four step-children and former husband, Richard. She was a truly special lady who will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

A service to celebrate and honor Yvonne’s life will be held at a later date. Service information will be shared upon finalization.
