Our beloved father, William (Willem, Bill) Heemskerk, passed away peacefully February 5, 2024. He was born November 2, 1932, in Naaldwijk, Netherlands. After retiring from the Ford Motor Company in Woodhaven, MI, they moved to TN and later settled in FL, where his hobbies included woodworking and building mechanical models.

William was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Hendrika Heemskerk, and his brother, George Heemskerk.

William is survived by his sister, Nellie Drost (John), and his 7 children – James Heemskerk (Sue), Kathleen Van Vynckt, William Heemskerk (Colleen), Carolyn Clark (Kyle), Timothy Heemskerk, Christine Martin (Kevin), and Kimberly Seipenko (Todd).

All who loved William will remember him for his faith and love for God, unconditional love for family, sense of humor, work ethic, candor, and a fierce handshake.

‘I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.’ – John 11:25
