Terrence “Terry” Edward O’Donnell, 70, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in Stuart, Florida.

Terry was born on February 28, 1956, in Wyandotte, Michigan to John and Dianne O’Donnell. He was the eldest brother to Pat O’Donnell, Tim O’Donnell, Mike O’Donnell, and Kelly Filarski. He attended Gabriel Richard Catholic High School and was very involved with sports; he played football, basketball, and baseball. Terry graduated from high school in 1974. Following graduation, Terry attended Eastern Michigan University, where he was a member of the Phi Sigma Epsilon fraternity.

In 1979, Terry moved to Florida. He enjoyed a successful 30-year career with Publix Supermarkets, ultimately retiring as a Produce Manager. Terry enjoyed the simple things in life- watching and playing sports, being outside, and spending time with his family. He was a proud and involved father who found joy in supporting his children by coaching their baseball and softball teams and being a troop leader in the Boy Scouts.

If he wasn’t working, you could find Terry playing golf, near the water, or at the ballpark with his children. And during the Fall, Saturdays meant he would be watching the University of Michigan football game. But Terry’s greatest joy was his family and spending as much time with them as he could.

Terry leaves behind his wife, Aloma O’Donnell; his two children, Matthew O’Donnell and Katie Whatley; his stepsons, Rick Boyce and Dave Boyce; his grandchildren Morgan, Ella, and Jeremiah; and his step-grandchildren Kaitlynn, Ricky, Brady, and Mason; and his brothers, Pat and Mike, and his sister Kelly.

Terry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His commitment to those he loved was strong and steadfast, often putting their need above all else. His was a life well-lived. Terry leaves his family and friends with a lifetime of happy memories, and he will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Terry’s honor on Sunday, July 19, from 1:00-3:00 at Two George’s Dockside Grille, located at 4290 SE Salerno Rd, Stuart, Florida 34997.
