In Loving Memory of Ronald G Morrow
March 15, 1933 - February 24, 2026
Ronald Gene Morrow, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, and devoted servant to his church and community passed away on Tuesday, February 24 at the age of 92.
Born March 15, 1933 in Ashland, Ohio, Ronald was a man of great strength, integrity, and purpose. He spent the majority of his formative years in North Canton, Ohio. He was an excellent multi-sport athlete at North Canton High School. However, his greatest accomplishment in that town was meeting and falling in love with Joyce Carol Israel. Their first date as eighth graders was on Valentine’s Day, and they stayed together through high school and college until they married. June 23 of this year will mark their 70th anniversary.
Ron earned his undergraduate and DDS degrees at Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and Psi Omega dental fraternity. Then he spent two years in the US Navy Dental Corps. He served out of Great Lakes Naval Base in Waukegan, Illinois. After completing his service, he moved back to Ohio and set up his dental practice in Olmsted Falls. Initially, he shared a small office with his friend and fraternity brother who was a family doctor, but eventually he built his own office building which was on the same street as his family home, thus allowing him to walk to work each day. Altogether, he ran his private dental practice for 37 years.
He always wanted to remain on the cutting edge of dental techniques and equipment, and regularly attended conferences and classes to keep on top of his game. He was a member of the American Dental Society in Cleveland, Ohio, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthesis, and was a founding member of the Cleveland Academy of Preventive Dentistry.
While living in Olmsted Falls, Ron was a Kiwanian for 30 years, and was elected to the Olmsted Falls School Board. He served on the Board for 19 years including 9 as President. He was a member of Olmsted Community Church and later John Knox Presbyterian. Along with his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes, he always kept up with the Bulldogs of Olmsted Falls.
He was a passionate and proficient golfer. His love for the game was contagious and all three of his sons became golf lovers too. There were many competitive rounds with that foursome, with the winners taking home bragging rights and a buck or two.
After retiring, Ron and Joyce eventually moved to Palm City, Florida where Palm City Presbyterian became a cherished place to worship. He regularly attended bible study, served as a church Elder, and sang in the choir until his death.
Ronald was predeceased by his son, Mitchell (Nichole). He leaves behind his devoted wife Joyce Carol; his children Maureen (Henry), Michael (Crystal), and Monte (Molly); and his grandchildren Jordan, Marissa, Cara, Monte, Noah and Bailey.
He was known for his quiet strength, patriotism, resilience, and unwavering devotion to his faith and family— principles that will continue through the generations of his family.
A Memorial Service will be held on March 21 at Palm City Presbyterian (2700 SW Martin Hwy, Palm City) at 11am, followed by a luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Palm City Presbyterian in Ron’s Memory. https://palmcitypres.org/give
