Robert "Benny" Bencivenga

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert “Benny” Bencivenga, age 60, of Palm City, Florida. He passed away peacefully at home on March 17, 2026, after a brief illness.

Benny was born on June 16, 1965, in Daytona Beach, Florida, the son of Barbara Bencivenga (Utter) and the late Alan Bencivenga. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his

Benny was truly a “jack of all trades,” and a master of many. He worked extensively in stone and masonry but would gladly tackle any task set before him with intelligence, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. He loved cooking, being in nature, fishing, skateboarding and surfing.

He was a devoted father to his 14-month-old daughter, Chloe, with whom he loved to jump into the playpen, splash during bath time, or simply cuddle quietly in a chair. He was also a wonderful second father to Maila, serving as a parent, mentor, and friend.

To his wife, Karen, he was a steady, unconditionally loving partner and best friend. Benny showed up for everyone in his life with an open heart and a gentle, grounded presence. Those who knew him considered him a true friend—always willing to help, giving selflessly and without expectation. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Benny is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Zub) Bencivenga; his daughters, Chloe and Lilly Bencivenga; and his stepdaughter, Maila Tolliver. He is also survived by his in-laws, Barbara and Joseph Zub; sisters-in-law, Debbi Zub and her daughter, Sophia; Patti Zub and her sons, Cole and Eli; and Lea-Ann Willems and her husband Jason, and their children Hunter, Della, and Gracie; and his beloved dog, Luna.

The family will hold a private gathering and a Memorial Service and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
