Maureen "Mickey" F. Heggers

Maureen F. Melia Heggers, 86, of Palm City, Florida, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

MAUREEN (Mickey) was born on May 14, 1939, in New York, New York, to William and Mary Melia of Brooklyn, New York. MAUREEN leaves behind her daughter Lisa Pacheco (husband Jorge), daughter Barbara, grandsons Evan and Alex, her sisters Kathleen and Margaret, her brother Michael, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind the many new friends she made at Discovery Village.

She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Gerard, her father William, her mother Mary, and her sister Loretta Mildenberger.

MAUREEN, fondly known as Mickey, was a loving wife and mother. She always took pride in keeping an immaculate home. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making her grandsons laugh. She enjoyed a great game of Scrabble, mah-jongg, solitaire, rummy, and especially BINGO. She was a strong woman and a fighter until the end. She will be greatly missed.

She will be buried alongside her husband at a private burial service that will take place on July 25 at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
