Mary Ann Miller

July 19,1936- June 2, 2025

Mary Ann Miller (nee Cullen) of Stuart, Fla, formerly of Garden City, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 88. Mrs. Miller was at home in her beloved community of Mariner Sands, surrounded by her family and filled with faith and blessings.

Mary Ann was the Grand daughter of Michael A. Cullen, the founder of Americas first Supermarket, King Kullen Grocery Co. and the daughter of the late James A. and Florence H. Cullen. She and her twin sister, Michelle, were the oldest of the 9 Cullen children. Michelle preceded her in death on May 30th, 2025.

Mary Ann was the loving wife of the late Walter H. “Bud” Miller, the President & Chairman of King Kullen Grocery Co. and the Chairman of Richmond Hill Savings Bank.

She grew up in Jamaica Estates, Great Neck, and Pt Lookout, NY. Mary Ann attended St Mary’s High School in Manhasset, NY and Dunbarton College. Mrs. Miller was a friend who never met a stranger and everyone was always welcome to be a part of the Miller family.

Mary Ann was the mother of 9 children. Mary Kathleen, Matthew (Mary Jeanne), Timothy (Nancy), Patrick, Kerry, Kelly Overbeck, Cullen (Molly) and Sean (Anna). She was pre-deceased by her son, Michael J. Miller. She also leaves behind 8 adoring Grandchildren, Morgan and Kendall Miller, Mabel, Holden and Miller Overbeck and Nellie, Bud and Flossie Miller.

She was a woman of enormous faith, love and tremendous laughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 11th, at 10:30am at St. Christopher’s Roman Catholic Church, 12001 SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, FL 33455.
