John "Johnny" Albert Rogers, Jr.

John Albert Rogers, 82, of Stuart, FL passed away on November 5. John, or Johnny as he was known to friends and family, was born in Montclair, NJ and grew up in nearby Bloomfield. Johnny graduated from Bloomfield High School and studied at Pace University. He was a career banker, working at a number of commercial financial institutions.

Johnny was preceded in death by his mother Mary and father John. He is survived by Brenda, his loving wife of 61 years, and daughters Susan Berkenbush and her husband Tom of Livingston, NJ, and Amy Rogers and her partner Dan Galtieri of Swiftwater, PA. Johnny also leaves behind his sister Joyce Rogers   and grandchildren Nicholas Ferrara and Michael Ferrara of Cresco, PA and Olin Berkenbush and Aren Berkenbush of Burlington, VT. He is also survived by his cousin Gail Rand and her sons Mike and Jeff, and Jeff’s wife Evania.

Johnny was an avid golfer, jokester and card sharp. He had tons of friends and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 13 at 10:00 AM at the Mariner Sands Chapel, 6500 SE Congressional Way,  Stuart, FL with Pastor Gary Carr officiating.  

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Camp Nejeda Foundation in Stillwater, NJ would be very much appreciated.
