John A. Friede

John A. Friede, 76 of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, unexpectedly. John, also known as ‘Strobo’, ‘Uncle Johnny’, ‘Papa Friede’, and ‘Papa’, enjoyed motorcycle riding, barefoot waterskiing, fixing things, and living life to the fullest.

He was an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Stuart, FL. He was always giving back to his community, from Port St. Lucie High School, to Habitat for Humanity, there weren't many that didn’t feel his impact.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy Friede, of Port St. Lucie, FL, his daughter Rachel Ferradaz & son-in-law Leonel Ferradaz of Winter Garden, FL, and daughter Dawn Sims & son-in-law Tom D. Sims of St. Petersburg, FL and grandchildren Leo Ferradaz, Miranda Ferradaz, Ellie Ferradaz, Thomas J. Sims, Drew Ferradaz, and Matty Sims. He is also survived by his sister Mary Alice Mauser & brother-in-law Fred Mauser of Maryland.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM,  at the First Presbyterian Church of Stuart, 1715 NW Pine Lake Drive, Stuart, FL  34994.
