Doctor Jean Delille Joseph at the age of 84 passed away on October 6, 2023 at 2:55 am at his residence in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. He was born in Camp-Louise, Acul-du-Nord, Haiti on October 9th 1938 to Delille Decius Joseph and Duveta Valcourt. He spent the majority of his childhood in Acul-du-Nord, Camp-Louise, and Labadie.
Jean Delille attended elementary school at The Freres de l'instruction Chretienne in Cap-Haitien and completed his secondary education at Lycee Phillipe Guerrier before he moved to Port-au-Prince for medical school, which he concluded in 1967. He worked with prominent physicians at various institutions, primarily at the State University Hospital, which assisted many young women.
In 1969, Jean Delille migrated to the United States, where he worked at various medical facilities including Harlem Hospital, St. John's Hospital, Kingbrooks Jewish Medical Center, Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, Mary Immaculate Hospital, and Kings County Hospital in New York City for over 40 years. Jean Delille had established his own practice in Brooklyn, NY on Eastern Parkway, where he provided the community with quality medical services for many years until his retirement to Port Saint Lucie, Florida in 2013.
Dr. Jean Delille Joseph, Ti Jean, Ti Delille, Ti De, Papi JeanJean, as we all knew him, and Tchou Tchou, for his mother. He was preceded in death by his parents, his eldest siblings Wilson, Marie Rosanne, Jacques D., Esmenard, and Pierre-Marc. He is survived by his charming wife of 55 years Guerrela, his children Evens, Jan-Darrell and wife Nicquelle, Reginald and wife Jessica, Alan and wife Whitney, Alex, his grandchildren Dorien and fiancée Jenna, Jordyn, Anais, Aaro, and great-grandson Tristan his sisters Ediane, Marianie, Jacqueline, Carmene, and their families, his brothers Toussaint, Jean Walker, Jacques Fresnel and their families, his in-laws Ginette, Agarthe, Marise and their families
The life of Doctor Jean Delille Joseph will be celebrated on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am at Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, St Lucie Chapel - 714 SE Port Saint Lucie Blvd, Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34984, followed by religious services beginning at 11:00 am at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church - 1400 S State Road 7, North Lauderdale, Florida 33068
