James "Jim" Curtis Jones

James “Jim” Curtis Jones, 72, of Palm City, FL passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 24, 2024, with his family by his side under the tender loving care of Treasure Coast Hospice.  Born to Harry Leland Jones, Jr., and Lillian Elizabeth (nèe Fletcher) Jones in Baltimore, Maryland, the Jones family moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts where Jim met the love his life and began his career in the marine electronics industry. Jim has been a leader, salesman, and mentor in the marine electronics industry for decades, making lifelong friends in every corner of the country. Jim could be found at every boat show and was always ready to share his expertise and a joke. His hobbies were many and included woodworking and most recently, baking. Jim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen Jones of Palm City, FL; daughters Erin (Matthew) Haust of Franklin, TN and Kayla Marie Jones of Palm City, FL; and son James Ryan (Jessica) Jones of Port St. Lucie, FL; and his cherished grandchildren Abigayle, Sarah, Nicholas and Michael.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Stuart Chapel of Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, 961 S. Kanner Highway, Stuart, FL followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm officiated by Pastor Gary Carr.  An inurnment will take place at Commaquid Cemetery in Massachusetts at a later date.
