James "Jim" Patrick Padian

James Patrick Padian, a first-generation Irish-American born in the Bronx, New York October 11th, 1938, passed away on July 19, 2025. He was 86 years old. Jim is survived by his sweetheart of 59 years, Marie Elaine (Ryall) Padian, his three children, James Patrick Padian Jr., Kathleen Padian, Tracey Anne Padian Lamport, and son-in-law James Lamport. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Max Ryall Padian, James Padian Lamport, Grace Morgan Padian, and George Thomas Lamport. One of seven children, he is also survived by two sisters (Helen and Margaret) and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Jim and Marie met at a party in Lenox, MA in and after a fairytale wedding in Manhattan in 1965, they moved to Trumbull, CT, where they raised their children and remained for 39 years. Dad, Papa, Uncle Jim, Jimmy, or just 'Padian' was a sheet metal tradesman, a successful investor, U.S. Marine sharp shooter, all-around athlete, Golden Gloves champion, and lover of life. He loved a beautiful sunset, babies, and the laughter of children. He was a dedicated and loyal fan of teams from New England, where he spent most of his adult life - he rarely missed an opportunity to watch the Boston Red Sox, UCONN Women's Basketball, and the New England Patriots.

Jim's love of all sports continued throughout his life, and he enjoyed coaching youth basketball and cheering on his children and grandchildren in all of their athletic endeavors. After moving to Stuart, FL, 18 years ago, he could always be found on the tennis court, riding his bike, or swimming a few laps.

Those who knew him well will remember Jim for his sense of humor; surprising others with impersonations of characters from favorite movies, breaking into song or dance, or reciting an often-used joke.
