Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Urgo
Elizabeth “Betty” Urgo, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the age of 89.
She lived a life full of kindness, creativity, and service. She had a great love for her pets and plants and spent countless joyful hours gardening, sewing, square dancing, and creating arts and crafts. Known for her wonderful sense of humor, she could brighten any room with laughter and wit.
Throughout her career, she cared for others as a Registered Nurse and later worked faithfully as a bookkeeper at Christ Fellowship Church. Her strong sense of community extended beyond her work—she belonged to and supported many charities, volunteered at the hospital, and was especially proud of baking cookies for the fire department.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister. She is survived by her three beloved children, Robert Urgo, Christopher Urgo, and Ellen Urgo; and her three cherished grandchildren, Emilienne Urgo Dubay, Jolie Urgo Dubay, and Samuel Urgo Dubay, who will carry forward her love, creativity, and generous spirit.
Her family and friends will remember her warmth, dedication, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
A celebration of her life will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, FL, on Thursday, September 25, at 3:00 p.m.
