Edward Perry Lynch
Edward P Lynch, age 80, of Stuart, Florida, formerly Summit, New Jersey, died on October 15 of Pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his wife of 57 yrs., Julie Mastony Lynch. Also surviving are 2 children, Eric Lynch of Phoenix AZ, & Tara Dooley of Summit, New Jersey and 5 grandchildren - Eva & Clara Lynch and Savanah, Arden & Austin Dooley. He has 2 sSurviving sisters, Lorraine (Arthur) Kimball of Toms River, NJ and Evelyn (Peter) Miles of Shamong, NJ.
Ed was born in Passaic, NJ, on December 1, 1942 to Edward J Lynch and Pauline Perrapato. He grew up in northern New Jersey, graduating from Ridgewood High School in 1960. He attended Seton Hall University and the Catholic University of America School of Law, where he earned a JD degree in 1968. He lived in Summit NJ for 35 yrs & retains a home in New Providence, NJ.
After law school he served a one year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Eugene Lora. Next Edward joined the Newark, NJ law firm of Pitney, Hardin, & Kipp (now Day Pitney LLP) where he specialized in labor & employment law. He was a partner of the firm for 41 yrs, retiring in 2013.
Ed was a long time subscriber to the New York Metropolitan Opera and a past chairman of the board for Opera at Florham, in residence at Fairleigh Dickinson U in Madison, NJ. He also enjoyed travel, trivia, reading, crossword puzzles, croquet & bridge.
