Diana Jean Loveland (nee Moore), 89, of Hobe Sound, passed away peacefully March 31, 2023 surrounded by her family. Diana, known to her friends as “Di”, was born in Buffalo NY July 29, 1933, the daughter of Dr. Arnott A. Moore and Jean McDougall Moore and grew up on the banks of the Niagara River on Grand Island, NY. Diana graduated from the University of Buffalo with an Art Education degree. On November 26, 1955, Di married her faithful and loving husband, John B. Loveland of Buffalo NY, and together raised a family of 5 sons in Northbrook, Illinois. Mrs. Loveland was an athletic and competitive spirit, taking up horseback riding, tennis, softball and golf, often winning club and team championships well into her 60’s. Diana dabbled in politics and some of her most treasured memories were her times spent working on newsletters and important issues of the day with giants of the day, receiving a personal thank you note from President Reagan. Mrs. Loveland was an alternate delegate to the 1976 Republican National Convention, but never sought higher office for herself. In retirement Diana continued her hobbies of picking stocks like her late mother and grandfather, healthy foods and vitamins and especially birds and gardening, being a Master Gardener for many years, and of course, visiting or being visited by her 9 grandchildren.

Mrs. Loveland was preceded in death by her son, George and brother Arnott in 2022 and is survived by her husband John, sister Jean Gramlich of Michigan, sons Douglas (Tracy), Gregory (Patty), Eric (Lana) and Barry (Amy), her nine loving grandchildren John, Elizabeth (Trevor), Matthew (Maddy), Timothy, Jennica (Tyler), Dennis, Janine, Philip and Thomas, and her brand-new great-grandson Teddy.
