Deborah Ann Shackett

Deborah A. Shackett, 63, of Jensen Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully in Stuart, Florida, on August 27, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Deborah was the beloved wife, mother, and grandmother of her family, a woman whose love and care touched everyone around her. She shared so much love that her spirit will continue to live on through the legacies of those she cherished. Deborah had a zest for life, she loved art and music, and she was her family’s biggest cheerleader. Her charisma could light up any room, and her laughter, warmth, and kindness were unforgettable.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, swimming, and the beach. A talented cosmetologist, she devoted time to helping the elderly and giving back to her community. As a mother, she was unwavering in her love and support, present for every milestone, every phone call, every need. She never forgot a birthday or holiday, and her presence made every celebration brighter. She was an amazing cook, a nurturer, and a protector, leaving a legacy of love and joy that will continue to guide her family for generations.

Deborah is survived by her husband, George Shackett; her children, Danielle Bennett, George (G.R.) Shackett; her grandchildren, Noah Bennett, Micah Bennett, Holland Shackett, and Kailey Shackett; and her siblings, Leah Johnson, Eric Bennett, Paula Bennett, and Chrissy Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Bennett and Bob Bennett.

She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special and inspiring them to be their best.
