In her professional life Brenda taught English and reading for thirty years in Ohio and Virginia.  She later worked as an adjunct professor at Indian River State College.  Her legacy lies in the wonderful influence she had on hundreds of young lives through education.

She spent many hours in volunteer endeavors including work with the Martin County Public Defender, Port St. Lucie Meals on Wheels, and tutoring reading to elementary school students.

Brenda had an enchanting personality full of kindness, love, laughter and enthusiasm. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing music on her I-pod, and especially dancing.
